Our History
GBC- Africa started its operations on 5th August 2003 and was officially registered in 2004. GBC- Africa was born when the founders responded to a calling by the Holy Spirit to return to Kenya from the U.S.A where they were working, and where later, as well, attended Charis Bible College, North Colarado.
The first Bible College was set up in Meru and after a while, new schools were established in Nakuru, Eldoret, Nairobi and Kapsabet. GBC presence is now in other new towns like Iten, Kericho, Kuria, Kitale; new centres continue to open up based on the demand.
The Patrons passion, commitment and clarity of purpose has been the key pillar for the success and growth of the College. The Patrons are both active tutors in the colleges.
Progress to date:
- Number of colleges set up and operational
- Over 180 students certified or undergoing training
- Personal lives changed through discipleship classes and meditating on God’s word
- Number of new classes started within existing colleges
- Guidance, counselling and coaching provided on an individual basis directly or indirectly to members and families of those on the program
- Seminars conducted
- Certified student’s engagement in ministry.
- New churches started affiliated to GBC (Meru – so far, over 10 churches)
